We had taken some time earlier this spring, to update a few things here at Stella Victoria's Cottage.

We painted the living room/front entrance, as well as added a new queen size pullout couch, Oh and we cannot forget the new dishwasher.. so much easier to load it up- and turn it on after 7pm.

We're in full swing mode over, guest have been checking in every Sunday at 3pm since the end of June. We've had some great guest, who have respect the rules and enjoyed themselves.

We took a walk over to Bay Beach area, 5 minutes from Stella Victoria's Cottage. This space was a little known secret to the locals, a smaller beach, a big park for the kids and a boat launch dock.  IT WAS BUSY. Here, take a look at the photos.

Smaller Bay Beach, a local secret, has been full almost everyday. Dogs are welcome here.

Guest Comments

At Stella Victoria's Cottage we have a "Welcome Book" for our guest. Take a look:

The Welcome Book is filled with tons of useful information to make our guest stay more enjoyable. Information regarding the cottage, internet, take-out menu's, maps, surrounding area, etc,.

Our favorite part of the Welcome Book is the comments left by our guest. Some leave a sentence or two and some leave letter's. All in all, it's great to read them. We only wish we would have started the book years earlier. Here are a few comments left by previous guests:

UPDATES: Working on a few updates here at the Cottage, it's an exciting time! There's a new pull-out couch in the living-room, which went from a double to a queen size. The Cottage also got a new stainless steel dishwasher and finally the living room has been freshly painted. We'll get some new pictures posted as soon as possible. Stay tuned!!

We took a walk over to Bay Beach over the Christmas Holidays. To our surprise, some daredevils were out surfing. With the high winds and huge waves, it was hard to snap a picture of them. Take a look:

Church on the Beach is a non-denominational worship service on the beach. Go dressed for the beach! Bring your own chairs, blankets, beach towels, and other beach gear.

THE PARADE OF BIKES

Stella Victoria's Cottage signed up with the Crystal Beach Beautification Committee to create a floral bike. 

In town, you'll see various vibrant and artistic floral bikes mounted on street poles which lead the way to the Beach. Each bike has been prepared by various community members, and they're beautiful. 

Here's a look at our bike, We painted it Tropical blue and affixed some white flowers and our logo. It will be placed on Erie rd, Keep your eyes open for it!

Laundry Basket

At this time, we do not offer laundry services at Stella Victoria's Cottage. For our long term guest, do not worry, in Ridgeway (5 minute drive) there's The Laundry Basket.

Open 7 days a week from 7am- 10pm, It's only THE most beautiful, organized and clean coin laundry mat we have ever seen. Inside, for your convenience, there's an array of tools to serve your  needs. You will find folding tables, carts, change dispenser, product vending machine and magazines. Most machines take Canadian loonies and quarters and the prices vary from $2.50-$5.00 a wash depending on which washing machine suits your load size. You may choose to dry at the laundry mat or out on our clothing line in the backyard of Stella Victoria's Cottage.

Ridgeway Farmers Market

Last weekend, we took a quick trip to the Ridgeway Farmers Market. The Farmers Market is an outdoor market located on the Friendship Trail in downtown Ridgeway, Ontario. It's an easy 3-5 minute drive from Stella Victoria's Cottage via ridgeway road. 

Every Saturday from 7:30am-12:30pm, you will find live music, local vendors selling a variety of products from organic produce, fresh cut flowers and soaps. This was such a pleasurable trip! During your stay at Stella Victoria's Cottage, take a drive over!

Life's a Garden

Good Morning,

We just enjoyed a beautiful weekend at Stella Victoria's Cottage and took the opportunity to work on the Garden. Fresh vegetables have been planted for all our guest to enjoy. 

 

Also, It seems are Strawberry plants, which are a relative to the Rose, are growing strong. Looks like these rocks, see post here Rocks, are working!!

Livingroom

It's so nice and bright here in our livingroom at Stella Victoria's Cottage. Summer is soon approaching, our weeks are getting rented. Feel free to send us an emal with any questions you may have. 

Rocks

We painted some rocks this past weekend to appear like strawberries. Why? you may ask.

"Did you know..... Stones painted as strawberries when put around strawberry plants in the spring will keep birds from eating your berries because the birds will think the ripened berries are stones."

Fingers crossed our small crop of strawberry plants are able to flourish this summer for our guest.

Sunset

The weather has been beautiful, in fact, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a walk to Bay Beach. Specifically to Terrance Lane, where the waterfront park for kids and boat launch is located. 

Such a beautiful view, such a short walk away, who wouldn't want to spend a few nights with us at Stella Victoria's Cottage in Crystal Beach, ON.

Sunshine

Spring is definitely just around the corner here in Crystal Beach! 

It's lovely to see the snow melting away and it has given us the opportunity to work on the garden as well as bring out the Front deck patio furniture. Take a look:
